I have tried to build lib32-sdl2 from AUR, that is required for STEAM to run (it is not a dependency of the offical package, but steam complains about it), but makepkg -s fails to do the work.
Any help is appreciated.

Built fine for me without any issue. Assuming you have gcc-multilib installed / multlilib repo enabled yes (guessing this because it looks like you may be missing a dependency somewhere since you didn't get through the config portion of the build (maybe the PKGBUILD in the aur is missing a makedep or something?))? Also, as a side note, I tried this already (it was a pain to setup initially) and didn't notice any real improvement over the all in one package in the repos. Like none at all (was hoping maybe it would run a little cooler on my system my nvidia card got really hot with the other package).
