New kernel freezes my system

Hi all,

i installed kenel 2.6.14-5 about 2 days ago, and now experiences frequent system freeze. suddenly my mouse will freeze in KDE and i have no choice but to press the reset button.

my network also will get disconnected everyday in the middle of the night, and the only way to restore network is to reset my router. i don't know if this is related to the kernel issue or not but it happened since then.

did any of you experience any of these problems?

No probs here.

Do you get a mouse freeze using another window manager?

If so, recommend you install memtest86+ and run that at boot.

I've had similar problems, they went away once I switched from using hotplug to load modules at bootup though...  I suppose that they had to do with the order that modules were being loaded.  But that's just a shot in the dark.
