I have a Samsung ML-2510 Series printer which can print text perfectly fine, doesn't matter if it is a PDF, ODT, TXT, etc. However, larger files with images such as PDF and PPT files will not print. There are no errors in the error log. In fact the print job log shows as complete but nothing actually printed. Under jobs it lists No Jobs, but under printers the status says Idle - "Sending data to printer." In the access log it says that Create-Job and Send-Document were both successful but again nothing actually printed.
I'm stumped, as similar posts I found were related to driver errors that I don't seem to be having.

Hi! I have the exact same printer! It can be flakey, but I did make a change to my system configuration to get it to work 100% of the time.
...but I'm not home right now. So when I get home (and if your question isn't solved yet ) then I'll let you know what I did.
How is it connected to your computer?
EDIT: More info, I use USB, and I should be able to respond in less than an hour.

That would be great! I just plug it in via USB.

Here it is. Create a file "/etc/modprobe.d/usblp.conf" and put this in it:
# The "usblp" module causes a bug with the printer
blacklist usblp
Then reboot. See if that does the trick.

You're welcome! For reference, I learned about that trick way back when from this section in the Arch Wiki: https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/CU … ting_usblp
