Shared libraries error (libdns_sd.so)

Hi !

Since an upgrade of KDE (I can tell which module since I didn't notice right after the update, but after some days), I cannot open some applications anymore. It wasn't a major KDE update, but a minor update. I use KDE 3.5.

When I try to load "Krdc", among others, even the System Guard (ksysguard), I got the following error:

error while loading shared libraries: libdns_sd.so

Any idea what I can do to resolve that ? I tried to reinstall kdelibs, kdebase and kdenetwork, but without success.

Try reinstalling the avahi package.

Welcome.

In the future, if you need to find out which package owns a missing file try

pacman -Ql | grep filaname
