I am in the midst of writing an entry on the history of Arch for the German wiki. There will be a lot of boring, already well-known facts, and I will certainly steal Dan's graph from https://dev.archlinux.org/~dan/archstats.svg. (If Dan should be reading this - an update would be appreciated)
However, I would like to prop that up with a little bit of fun-stuff. My first ideas were:
1) Judd Vinet's epic attempt to sell a leather trouser on ebay, and
2) Simo Leone's "Users sucks" post (which must be available on this forum, but I am too lazy to search atm).
I will probably drop the Pacman-forked-by-Frugalware-issue, because that is nothing we care about these days. Here is a question for those who have been present for years: What other brilliant moments/questions/discussions/turning-points do you recall?

I always enjoyed reading and re-reading this one, about a new Arch based distribution: Kahel OS. Do IT Right.
One of my personal favorites, the great random number debate: Is this a random number?

Yeah - the Kahel thread. I have almost forgotten that one. But it deserves special mention under "Arch Derivates". They seem to be alive and kicking, and I wish them all them best.
Any other suggestions?

In the last three to four years, you would be hard pressed to go past the move to systemd as one of the bigger shakeups. Unfortunately, it spawned a huge number of threads--most of them since removed, but the main one is worth a look https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=147272
