Virtual Console Resolution Change

Built a new PC in December, and to test the hardware (also to play with stuff before the new case arrived), I assembled what parts I had on the desk/box and installed Arch.

Install went fine, other than that GRUB issue, and I just installed syslinux instead. The only problem was that I was using the onboard gfx for the install, and then later switched to my Nvidia card to complete the install (which went fine).

After switching to my Nvidia card, X works etc, but my virtual console res went from being full screen (and I assume 1920x1080) to what looks like 640.

I have been searching the wiki and google, and can not find any definite info about how to reset / autodetect, or just plain specify my virtual console res.

Do I have to just like write a new config file for syslinux or something?

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks!

Re: Virtual Console Resolution Change

Nvidia doesn't use KMS, so you have to use nouveau driver or https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Uvesafb
You can try playing with https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Gr … resolution too.

Not an installation issue. Moving to Multimedia and Games.
