[SOLVED] Mkinitpcio Error & Dependency Failed for /sysroot

Hello,

I upgraded 500MB or so of my Arch/KDE box. After rebooting I am unable to boot my system. It being only system I have and a slow internet has limited my ability to troubleshoot the problem on my own.

I am chroot-ing in my Arch box using Fedora ISO. I am running an up to date Arch box.

mkinitcpio has following error.

ERROR: failed to detect root filesystem

sysroot, initrid and latest libgcrypt error during boot is in the picture below.

Any pointer would be nice.

Thanks.

Make sure the system is completely up to date and rebuild your initramfs.

Re: [SOLVED] Mkinitpcio Error & Dependency Failed for /sysroot

I rebooted system after full system update. I wasn't able to boot into my system as depicted in OP image. I chrooted from Fedora ISO checked for any update which there were none. I rebuilt initramfs which was built successfully but failed at detecting root filesystem. I was able to reboot my system. Now when I run mkinitcpio it ran fine without any problem.
