internal webcam is not longer detected after update, uvc

Salutations forums,

I updated my arch laptop recently, which included a kernel update, and afterwords my internal laptop camera was no longer detected.

I checked the forums / how-to, and tried somethings to no avail. If anyone else has this problem, or knows how to fix it; I would appreciate the direction.

Did you reboot?
Verify that the version number reported by pacman -Qi linux
exactly match that provided by uname -a

Yes I have rebooted both before I posted, and several times since the upgrade; to no avail. The versions numbers of pacman -Qi linux do coincide with uname -a.

Is there any other avenues I can take? I may need the webcam for work.

Thank you for the help thus far.

Unfortunately, I do not see anything on your USB bus that looks like a webcam.   Although it is likely a USB device, it is possible that it is a PCI device -- you might check the output of lspci as well.

Have you tried powering off and restarting cold?  It could be that the device is in some odd state.

Yes, I have restarted cold.

At the end is my lspci as well; though I do not see anything on the list that could be a webcam. I'm really at a loss here, normally I don't have these sorts of issues, or if I do I can find a fix or workaround quickly.

The UVC drivers and guvcview worked fine before the update.

Thanks
