Hi there!
This is a very nasty problem: X isn't starting any more on my system. I see the boot-messages, the last entry is "Reaching target graphical interface" (or so) and then nothing happens. Strange: when I go to tty2, I can manually startx here.

Interesting here are the "Failed to initialize the NVIDIA kernel module." and "no screens found" messages. I don't have a xorg.conf, so the defaults should be used. I've tried to reinstall the nvidia modules, but that doesn't changed something too.
journalctl -b | grep "nvidia":
Jan 27 08:30:13 aegis kernel: [drm] Initialized nvidia-drm 0.0.0 20130102 for 0000:01:00.0 on minor 0
Google only took me to some pages, but the problem there was always related to bumblebee (I don't have dualgraphics).
Hardware: I'm using a Sony Vaio VPC Notebook with Core i5 and Geforce 540M. The only thing I did was transferring my system from an HDD to an SSD, but that shouldn't affect the graphics.
Some help would be very great.

You're probably running into this: https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=173153
Basically your system is loading too fast now and X is trying to start before the module is loaded. Best fix is to add the nvidia module to your initramfs.

Many thanks! That was the solution! Everythings fine now.

Many thanks! That was the solution! Everythings fine now.
So what exactly was the solution? Because I don't have that directory as I don't use KDE/kdm. The file specified was
# /etc/systemd/system/kdm.service.d/10-wait-for-card.conf
[Unit]
Wants=dev-dri-card0.device
After=dev-dri-card0.device
So where should I put the "10-wait-for-card-conf" file? Sorry for such an old bump. Just having the same problem with no solution.
