[SOLVED] paste into xterm (awesomewm)

Im having trouble pasting text into xterm when using awesomewm (or any other WM when not using a DE).

I have tried the trick in this thread:
https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=95761

with no luck, it is old, so it might not be working at this point?

For me both with Xterm and URxvt copying selected text and then using the middle mouse to paste into either of these applications work.

I'm on a laptop with no middle mouse button, so that falls short. And I wish to use key bindings. Is that a config you have done?

Whoa, I just answered your question whether it was working or not, if you was already aware that xterm used middle mouse button but  failed to mention you are on a track pad that sort of changes the field on how the question is handled.

I suggest you look here:

EDIT:: Changing content of post after some basic research

Thanks for helping! Sorry if i sounded harsh!

I put this line in my ~/.Xrecources (create if nonexistent)
XTerm*VT100.translations: #override <Btn1Up>: select-end(PRIMARY, CLIPBOARD, CUT_BUFFER0)

and reloaded using:
xrdb -merge ~/.Xresources

In my laptop's touchpad, pressing both buttons is the same as the middle mouse button (button 2, according to xev).
Maybe this also works for you.
