Flash videos crashing when hw acceleration is enabled

It started a few days ago, very often when I try to play a flash video the plugin crashes. It doesn't depend on the website nor the web browser. It happens only if I enable hw acceleration in /etc/adobe/mms.cfg. I use libvdpau with nvidia drivers. I tried rebuilding libvdpau but it didn't help.

When it crashes, rekonq says:
[xcb] Unknown request in queue while dequeuing
[xcb] Most likely this is a multi-threaded client and XInitThreads has not been called
[xcb] Aborting, sorry about that.
rekonq: xcb_io.c :179 : dequeue_pending_request:  the assertion « !xcb_xlib_unknown_req_in_deq » failed.

chromium says:
2420:2436:0127/185616:ERROR:x11_util.cc(114)] X IO error received (X server probably went away)

Any ideas?

Flash often crashes here too, since I’ve installed a GeForce card with the nvidia blob. I think it’s pretty common.

For youtube and some other video sites you can use the GreaseMonkey script ViewTube in order not to use Flash.
