radeon_ucode missing?

What happened to radeon_ucode package that Gentoo wiki advises to install? Has it been integrated into linux-firmware package in Arch?

Gentoo advises to install either radeon-ucode or linux-firmware. arch simply forces you to install linux-firmware as a dependency of the kernel.

Gentoo WIKI:
Firmware
Microcode is required for R600 and newer GPUs. Install either x11-drivers/radeon-ucode or sys-kernel/linux-firmware (contains also other firmware):

Re: radeon_ucode missing?

you can verify with:

$ dmesg | grep -i microcode

in my case I have an output like this one
