Printing not working on HL3040CN

I did follow the instructions on the brother webpage but fail to print anything

in cups/access_log i find

there are no /etc/cups/mimi* files. I have mime.cons and mime.type in /usr/share/cups. with uncomments as per http://mindspill.net/computing/cross-pl … supported/

I symlinked these in /etc/cups. But that didn't help either.

Is there a known way to print to a brother HL3040CN printer from archlinux?

Hello,

I made a new package in AUR for this printer.
A lot of old packages in AUR are not working because of recent cups changes.
I cannot test this package myself because I don't own this printer.

lib32-glibc is in multilib. Have you enabeled multilib in /etc/pacman.conf ?
