[Portal 1 not Working]

I recently downloaded Portal 1 and when I tried to run it I got this error:

Any tips on how to fix this?

PS: I have the xf86-video-ati installed

What video card are you using? Are there any errors or warning in your X.org log file?

wasn't portal 1 32bit? Do you installed all lib32-* staff of your driver?

Someone had the same problem, _maybe_ this could help (though he was using the bumblebee driver). I have the same problem, but I can't figure out where to run that guy's command (optirun...) or it's nvidia counterpart. Here - https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=169422

EDIT : I had the exact same error message, and in the thread I linked above, Buhman's post solves it _completely_. I'm playing Portal now without any issues, please do those steps and if it works, mark this thread as solved.
