Hello everyone !! so i decided to do a fresh install with arch 0.7.1 as i already know arch rocks !!.
Last time i had arch installed on my pc i also had suse 9.3 and when i installed arch , i went to the suse /boot/grub/menu.lst and added arch to the list. Everything worked fine !
But now i just want to have winbugs and arch installed no other OS.
My drive is like this
/dev/hda1 NTFS Windows 30GB
/dev/hda2 NTFS Partition Storage 30GB
/dev/hda3 Swap 512MB
/dev/hda4 XFS Arch / 15GB
so i installed Grub on the /dev/hda (i guess this is the MBR) , and on the /boot/grub/menu.lst i added something like this
# (1) Windows
title Windows XP
rootnoverify (hd0,1)
makeactive
chainloader +1
But when i restarted arch works more than fine but i cant start windows it says "Missing NTLDR" and it wont start
I need help with this one as i dont know what to do. I know starting the rescue on the windows cd i can fix the mbr , but i really want arch to work.
If i need to reinstall something thats not a problem just tell me and ill do it
thanx for the help in advance.

You can also boot from a windows XP disk and then choose the repair option....This will bring you to the recovery console, from there you can type
fixmbr
and then it will set NTLDR as your default bootloader. After that you can use your arch disk to install grub and add your windows part to the menu.lst .....Just a thought
