New install no mouse in Gnome 3.10

Hi all,

Just rebuilt a new system on my MacBook Pro 5,3 dualbooting with Arch and OS X Mavericks, When i boot gdm starts automatically and launches me into the login screen however my trackpad does not work so i have no mouse control.

Do i need to add something into my xorg-config? Is there a package i need to install for synaptics?

Help would be appreciated i'm sure it is something simple.

Thanks in advance.

Re: New install no mouse in Gnome 3.10

May I suggest reading the Arch Wiki page regarding Input Devices? https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/xorg#Input_devices

xf86-input-evdev might be needed for any mouse and then read the dedicated page for Synaptics.

Actually it's xf86-input-synaptics that you need to install.
