Perhaps a little searching before making a post might save peoples' time.

Google search for 'rox trash can':

Re: rox & trash

i tried that, and although a trash can appears after I've extracted the file (tar -xf), it doesn't appear to work... i can't open the trash can to get at the items I've deleted so I'm presuming they're still being permenantly deleted...

thanks

Re: rox & trash

Hmm...

Did you do this:

You may need to set the directory to your libtrash trash can if you have never used Trash before

?

If you go on the site, the one I posted above, then it says it tells you how to do that in the README, so I'd read that smile

Re: rox & trash

aye- i read the readme file and it's about as helpful as the website and doesn't tell you 'which directory you should set libtrash to'...?

if you could help it'd be much appreciated!

thanks

Re: rox & trash

You read the whole thing? It seems pretty clear to me :

SHELL SETUP (OPTIONAL)
----------------------
Included with this AppDir is a small shell script called libtrash.sh that will
set up libtrash and set up a few nice environment variables and aliases when
you log in. This script can be copied into /etc/profile.d where, on most
systems, it will be automatically sourced by the default profile script. You
can also add it to your profile manually by inserting the line
    source $HOME/libtrash.sh
into your $HOME/.bash_profile. Or, if you prefer, you can simply copy the
contents of the script into $HOME/.bash_profile. Note that this script assumes
that your personal libtrash configuration file is $HOME/.libtrash.conf, which
may need to be changed.

Just follow those instructions, and you're good to go.
