Mozilla Firefox and system colours

I was wondering if there is a way to force a gtk application to default to
the system colour scheme. Firefox is the only app that ignors my system
colours no matter what I do. I'm using kde and made sure that the option
in settings check box to apply colors to non kde apps is checked.

I use a .gtkrc and a .gtkrc-2.0 to correct fonts and tooltips so they match
those of kde apps. can i use these files to maipulate gtk apps to use system
or native colors by default aswell?

Re: Mozilla Firefox and system colours

gtk-qt-engine worked fine for me (KDE 3.5): http://www.archlinux.org/packages.php?id=6066 ... just grab that and you'll see Gtk Settings in the Control Center and in "Lost & Found" in KMenu... then just select system settings and all Gtk apps will match your KDE theme - no need for the .gtkrc or whatever now... ah, but I'm back on GNOME now lol...

Re: Mozilla Firefox and system colours

actually the gtk control center creates or modifies a .gtkrc-2.0 to make
the changes to gtk apps running under kde which is what I was doing
in the first place.

Re: Mozilla Firefox and system colours

With firefox you need to have it set to use the default theme for it to apply your gtk style, if you're using another firefox theme it'll ignore it.

Hope that helps,
