I am having strange ACPI behavior since upgrading to kernel 3.13
The CPU temperatures have all taken a serious rise by more than 10 degrees Celsius in idle. In powertop idle stats, the CPU states available are POLL, C1 and C2 (no C3/C6).
My brightness keys are no longer registering commands - in dmesg I get the known 'Unknown key pressed (translated set, code blabla)' and when I press the buttons that adjust brightness I get 100% cpu usage by kworker and after a few minutes I see the backlight dimming!

I have tried many options in /etc/default/grub in the past (acpi_osi etc), and my backlight dimming was never functional so I learned to live with that, but the temperature rise is a serious problem, I can easily get more than 80 degrees in CPU temp (and it's not even summer!)
Any suggestions?
