Dell XPS 8700 - Bluetooth

I just bought a new computer from Costco, got Arch working, and wiped Win8.1. I'm having issues getting bluetooth working, however. I followed the instructions on the bluetooth guide (https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/bluetooth) with no luck. when I run bluetoothctl, it says there's no default device. I checked the Dell section of the wiki and the only thing I found in the XPS articles is this reference, which I hope isn't the case (https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/De … #Bluetooth). I checked the logs, but no dice (http://pastebin.com/054i5DP5)

as I've never had a bluetooth controller before, I'm at a loss.

edit: I did try it with the wifi card connected to my wireless router as well, as suggested in the bluetooth wiki article

Re: Dell XPS 8700 - Bluetooth

reinstalled the bluez packages and now bluetooth works fine big_smile

sudo pacman -S bluez bluez-libs bluez-utils

edit: does anyone know how to receive files from another device? the wiki article doesn't really cover it. I'm trying to receive files from my phone to email to work, but in bluetoothctl all I see when I try to send files is

[bluetooth]# paired-devices
Device <device>
[CHG] <device> Connected: yes
[CHG] <device> Connected: no
[bluetooth]#
