Hello Friends,
I've had this issue for a while, only on one laptop (I run Arch on everything)... VLC will play my .FLV files, video works, playback works but no sound. The volume gets stuck and can only be changed by 5% (If VLC was running before and volume was at 60% I can change to 65 and back to 60. If VLC was closed and I open a FLV file it is always at 0% volume and will only go up to 5%).
I get the following error every time I try to adjust the volume.. Other file-types work fine.
[tkh@tk6410 ~]$ vlc
VLC media player 2.1.4 Rincewind (revision 2.1.4-0-g2a072be)
[0x18a7118] main libvlc: Running vlc with the default interface. Use 'cvlc' to use vlc without interface.

Thanks in advance!
EDIT: I have concluded that this must've been the FLV files itself. They were downloaded using FireFox plugin VideoDownloadHelper

No idea... never play flv directly. https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/auto-reencode
