Reaching Package C7 Idle state

I'm runnng archlinux on a asus h81t mainboard with a pentium G3220 processor. I try to minimize power consumption in idle.

Kernel 3.13 is running, using intel_pstate as performance governor. The CPU cores are most of the time (99.8%) in C6 state (no C7 on pentium). But Package C states never go below PC3. In addition CPU Frequencies are never lowered to 800MHz, they stay on the maximum 3Ghz.

I installed a windows 8 for reference. In windows i reach PC6. Which drops power by another 7Watt.

Any hints what i am missing?

Re: Reaching Package C7 Idle state

replaced the r8169 with r8168. Now 97% package c6 once the monitor goes into standby via dpms
