So I had a hardware failure and had to reinstall arch. I use this box for android development and require the oracle jdk6. It looks like oracle had either moved out restricted their download of the jdk/jre 6u51 bins (which aren't supposed to be public anyway BTW) and also 6u45. I can fix the package locally, but does anyone have a working URL to fix up the package in aur?

for java 6 u45 go here :
http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/ … 19409.html
For later versions of java 6 it appears you need to be an oracle customer with a support contract .
copied from www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/javase/archive-139210.html :
Current update releases for JDK 5.0 and 6 are available for support customers. If you already have a support contract see support note 1412103.2 To learn more about Oracle Java SE Support visit our Java SE Products Page.
Disliking systemd intensely, but not satisfied with alternatives so focusing on taming systemd.
clean chroot building not flexible enough ?
Try clean chroot manager by graysky

Thanks. I've already grabbed the bins from the website, and fixed up my local pkgbuild. For the pkgbuild to work for someone using eg yaourt, a direct URL needs to be in the script. Also it should be changed to 6u45 which is the last public version. That issue is for the maintainer, my question was more about a direct ftp or http URL to use in the script.

Is it a problem to do it manually for one package?
Post the info in the comments on the AUR page of the package.

...I don't get it...
I tried to grab the binaries, but it redirected me to a login page ...
jre6 and jdk6 in AUR give SHA sum error.

P.S. Android AOSP site, lists Java7 as required to compile KitKat.
