Hi,
I've upgraded my arch x64 recently and now, I can't /sbin/poweroff : The system stalls at
reboot: power off.
Fans get slow but system does not totally power off.
I'm using systemd-211-1
Thank you,
Bruno.

What happens with "systemctl poweroff"?

It doesn't work either.
Note : I use systemd-sysvcompat

Auto-solved
Kernel module "ac" did not loaded automatically. Manually added a /etc/modules-load.d/ac.conf containing :
ac

In fact, the problem is not solved. Real power off occurs sometimes and sometimes the problem remains. It seems to be random...

And what happens if you use "sudo shutdown -h now"?
Claire is fine.
Problems? I have dysgraphia, so clear and concise please.

Whoa. I'm lost :
* From a real tty, shutdown or poweroff commands always works as they should, either from my user account with sudo ou with root account
* From root crontab, they never work (system power is not turned off)
* From a gnome-terminal, they never work
I don't know if this is :
* A kernel problem (ACPI or ...?). Note : I use linux 3.13.9-1-ck
* A tty problem
* A systemd problem
* A sudo problem (I don't think... From root crontab, it doesn't work either...)
* A gnome problem
* A hardware problem (I don't think... I have a Win7 partition that power off correctly)

Hmm... I was going to suggest the 3.13.9 package from [core], but that hasn't appeared yet.
Claire is fine.

Ok, so do you have this problem with 3.13.8 from [core]?
Claire is fine.

Fixed. Just have to wait for an upgrade (I think the problem is with systemd, fixed in 212-2)
