Computer plays musical notes when I'm not in the room ???

This has only happened after I have left the room and gone upstairs. I hear 3 or 4 sounds. They are not repeated. Its as if something is trying to get my attention. I'm running KDE. Just curious if somebody has an explanation.

Is there any pattern in when it happens.... programs you leave running, time after you leave the room. Type of sound?

I've only heard it twice, I was in the kitchen I woudn't be able hear it if I was any where else in the house. Only program would be xscreensaver, at least 15 min after leaving the computer. I don't use IM etc.

The keyboard is pushed into desk. It is not a beep but three accending musical notes.
