gnome-shell not displaying properly after boot

Hey everyone,

After a (almost) fresh installation and with no extensions enabled, I get this weird problem where gnome-shell looks corrupted, like the css-file isn't being loaded properly (see screenshot). Also, when I search for programs with shell, I can't find any. All I get is a "duckduckgo" symbol. Also note that the notification tray is somehow partially visible even though I didn't open it.
After I restart gnome-shell, everything looks and works fine.

Any ideas?

$ gnome-shell --version
GNOME Shell 3.10.4

I'm using the open AMD drivers

Perhaps related thread: https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=178079

Summary: Gnome 3.12 will probably fix this

Re: gnome-shell not displaying properly after boot

I have the exact same problem. I just do an f2+r+Enter and be done with it.

I realized that longer I wait in gdm to enter password, less I come across this bug.
