Gnome-session-properties (solved)

Hello, I use Repo testing. I update to Gnome 3,12. All fine, but:

Gnome-session-properties: command not find.

Can't active tray :  In /usr/share/gnome-shell/js/ui/layout.js --- js/ui/layout.js does not appear

Any idea

thanks

Re: Gnome-session-properties (solved)

yup, gnome-session-properties looks to no longer be a part of the gnome-session pacakge. You may want to downgrade and make a copy of the .desktop and binary executable and upgrade again.

Re: Gnome-session-properties (solved)

Well, I would take a look at pacman's man page. I actually just downgraded gnome-session real quick, moved the files I wanted over to a local directory, and upgraded again. Just manually untarring the old package is probably the way to go.

The script in this thread has the command to do it. Old versions of installed pacakges are stored in /var/cache/pacman/pkg (these are *.pkg.tar.gz files which you install with pacman -U). You can get a listing of the files contained in a package with pacman -Ql. Again, I recommend reading pacman's man page to get a better idea of what you can do with it.

Re: Gnome-session-properties (solved)

sorry for my delay in responding, so I resolved the issue by cris9288 response, and then I downgrade gnome-session then restart my netbook, then just upgrade gnome-sessionl and fix the team, I did nothing more, I did not copy any files.

successes for all
