Trouble with sound on Acer Aspire V5-573G

I have some trouble with the sound on my notebook. It features the ALC282 soundchip and, apart from the in-built speakers sounding bad (but I can cope with that) features a combined jack for a headset. However, nevertheless which input I chose when my headset is plugged in, sound is always recorded from the internal microphone and its quality is bad. I loaded snd_hda_intel with the headset-jack option (verified with systool -v -m snd_hda_intel) but no luck. Anybody had this problem as well and got it fixed, or any other ideas I could try out?

EDIT: So I don't know if anyone is still looking for an answer, but I got it working with hdajackretask (included in alsatools). My configuration for the Realtek ALC282 is (you need to enable the option "Show unconnected pins" for this to work):

  • Pin ID:0x17 Override as "Internal Speaker (back)"

  • Pin ID 0x19 Override as "Microphone"

  • Pin ID 0x1b Override as "Internal Speaker (LFE)"

I don't know if that is the correct mapping for the Pins concerning the speakers, but my microphone now works and all speakers seem active when music plays, much improved to before.
