Pulseaudio - user settings and microphone auto adjustment

Hi all,

Few questions if I may - I have search the wiki/forum but couldn't find any answers.

When recording my webcam with ffmpeg along with my webcam microphone the recording level of the microphone is automatically adjusted by pulseaudio (I am assuming there) - it actually adjust the recording level of each channel (right/left)

The question there is how do I stop the automatic adjustment?

The second question is if I could have a user specific settings for pulseaudio that will automatically load when the user (on the same machine) log in?

First problem happens for me too Any idea why?
