FTL suddenly stopped working.

Two days ago i played FTL in LXDE without problems but in other DE give me error

error while loading shared libraries: libILUT.so.1: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

After instaling kde the game stoped working in any DE and show me that error.
I reinstaled my arch linux but this game wont start.
After install of devil-ilut libbass libbassmix all of game dependencies crash and give me that error

I tried to rut it on other computer with other distros (Ubuntu 12.4 13.10 and Arch) but I could not started it.
I'am beginning to think that the FTL is maket with old dependencies or version of software and in newest distributions which ofer the latest versions the game don't work.

Has anyone here who play FTL on Ubuntu greater than 12.04 or Arch or any distro which offer almost the latest software versions maybe i do something wrong?

How do you install FTL? Via Steam or a package via Humble Bundle or whatever? Either way: There is a very new version of this game with many new features (FTL: Advanced Edition). Just download your newest package or update via Steam.

I have the latest game version from Humble Bundle.
But i remember that i run the game in Mint 13 before 1-2 years but i had no time to play it.

Please edit that first post and put output into '[ code ][/ code ]' tags. So you still get error libILUT.so.1 not found? In windows version of FTL there are ILU and ILUT dlls, meaning these come with the game. Since reinstalling is not helping, locate libILUT, you can always create a symlink between basic file and library version the binary looks for. To check other dependencies use ldd and strace. Package devil-ilut is not in the dependencies of that AUR pkgbuild, so probably unnecessary or even incompatible.
