Thinkpad Edge acpi_call battery threshold

I've installed acpi_call and tlp, configured tlp with

startThreshold                              =     15
stopThreshold                               =     50

yet when I do `tlp-stat` I get

tpacpi-bat.BAT0.startThreshold                              =     15 [%]
tpacpi-bat.BAT0.stopThreshold                               =     15 [%]
tpacpi-bat.BAT0.forceDischarge                              =      0

when I do `tlp setcharge` outputs:

Setting temporary charge thresholds for BAT0:
  stop  = 50
  start = 15
Done.

I am using kernel 3.13 so I've compiled acpi_call package for myself.
TLP is newest version.

Re: Thinkpad Edge acpi_call battery threshold

Not really a solution, but I use tpacpi-bat (in AUR) to control the threshold on my Thinkpad X1 Carbon. You might want to see if that works for you.

Re: Thinkpad Edge acpi_call battery threshold

Looks like this bug is only visual. It works most of the time, the problem is most likely with acpi_call bugs, not with tlp

Re: Thinkpad Edge acpi_call battery threshold

Hi,

this is a long standing display issue of the Edge series' firmware. The thresholds themselves work correctly. Please refer to the TLP FAQ
