Guitar Pro 6 -- freezes, no sounds

Hello good people !

I've installed Guitar Pro 6 on my 64 bit system with the native linux packages.

When I start GP I get no sounds. I thought  I might try timidity++ to manage my midi output. I can manage to start a timidity server through

timidity -iA

but when I try to play the score, GP freezes.

Through some tests i realize that when i stop the timidity server gutar pro unfreezes. The same issue occurs if i start a jack server and run GP together, GP unfreezes upon stopping the jack server.

Does anyone have any pointers on that issue?? Is GP meant to use PulseAudio ? Maybe Pulseaudio conficts with jack and/or timidity.
I will be happy if someone could help me out !!
