Battery suddenly not found

Seemingly randomly, acpi has not been able to detect my battery. Here is the acpi output:

Battery 0: Unknown, 0%

/sys/class/power_supply/ contains two directories, BAT1 and ADP1, as it always had.

Whenever I use my computer, I have to have it plugged in or it will shutdown, even though there is a green light that indicates the battery is fully charged. Also if I unplug my computer from ac, it will stay on for about a minute before it shuts down, so I know that the battery is in fact working

The only thing that I can think may have caused this issue is that I very recently updated the linux kernel.

Thanks

Re: Battery suddenly not found

To confirm; install the previous kernel and let us know if it works. You might need https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Ar … ck_Machine

Re: Battery suddenly not found

Okay; so your next steps are; finding out the motherboard and battery type and check if any bugs are already reported. If not; report one so this can be fixed in the next release. This is a good place to start: https://bugzilla.kernel.org/
