Hi!
I use OpenBox for a long time now, previously with GNOME and MATE apps, but recently I changed to KDE based ones like Dolphin, Kate, etc.
Now my problem is that after these changes I cannot set that the external USB drives to connect automatically if plugged in. It wouldn't that big of a problem but I use an external HDD very often so I don't disconnect it and I have symlinks on my file system showing to folders on it.
Of course I set in the KDE System Settings that all removable devices connect automatically but it doesn't work.
So since I use only parts of the KDE and don't use any DE with OpenBox, what should I do to figure this out? I'm sure I'm missing something but can't find an answer. I've found some advices to modify config files but I'd like to avoid those until there's other possibility like installing a missing package (it worked before without changing any config file and of course I don't want to install the whole KDE itself and loading the DE under OpenBox).
I have these packages installed to KDE

What, so everyone's supposed to sleep every single night now? You realize that nighttime makes up half of all time?

The package udevil and the command devmon -a in the .xinitrc seems to do the trick for now. I ignored them because the Wiki page says it replaces udisks (not sure if it talks about 2 or not) plus I had bad luck with udiskie before. But at least it's a workaround for now, thankfully it can be configured to mount only in /run/media/$USER. Udisks2 should do it by itself as it was able to mount the drives before I started using KDE apps. Don't know what happened but I hope they won't conflict in the future.
Thanks for the reminder!
