Macbook pro 5.2 Mid 2009 boot problem

Hello there,

i have installed rEFIt and downloaded the image and made a bootable usb. Well when i try to boot the screen goes black...

but how do i boot with this option?

# arch maxcpus=1 or # arch acpi=off

i am a little bit confused...
