Hi,
Does anyone know if there's a menu editor for Gnome 2.12? I used to use smeg but it seems to be gone for some reason.
Thanks!

I just switched to Arch from Red Hat, who had smeg in their repos -- for them (for everyone?) it's been renamed "alacarte".

Thanks for the info! I couldn't find alacarte for Arch neither.
Before Gnome 2.12 came out I heard they planned on integrating a menu editor by default; not sure if there is one in the current release.

Thanks for the tip! Guess I've missed it.:) Though I haven't figured out whether I could add items to the menus.

Thanks for the add! It works fine! ![]()

Download alacarte from AUR (read wiki for more info about AUR). You can grab the package from here: http://aur.archlinux.org/packages/alaca … rte.tar.gz
Extract it and run in the alacarte directory as root 'makepkg'
This will create a file with the extension .pkg.tar.gz.
You can install this via pacman with the -A option
See 'man pacman' for more pacman options.
Welcome to Arch
EDIT: Don't forget to vote for the package in the AUR if you want it to be added to community[/b]
