Backlight issue help? [Solved]

Backlight was working fine till I installed a testing intel graphics driver (didnt work).
Uninstalled it, put back my default Intel driver, but now my backlight is wacky.

In /Sys/Class/Backlight I have Two directories  "Dell_backlight and "intel_backlight"
Currently it's using the intel but I Think it needs to be using the Dell_backlight, that's what was working before.

How can I switch back to using the Dell_Backlight, is there a config file somewhere that says which to use?

Thanks in advance, this is driving me crazy

Re: Backlight issue help? [Solved]

Heh,2 men and a horse walk into a taco stand...

When I boot, the backlight does not light up and cannot be changed up/down.
but when I come out of sleep the backlight kicks in and works normaly.
My workaround so far is just to quickly sleep each time I boot.
But I've noticed laitly when I launch certain things (like certain games) the backlight kicks back off.

Well damnit that worked, I feel like a tard asking when it was in the guides.
Saw that before but didnt try it because it was the opposit problem, I still have no BL for the boot,  but it kicks in at the display manager now.
Thanks!
