I tried to install Xorg 7.0 but...
Hi!
I tried to install (I read about installing ) but first message was about conflict mesa and celestia and it want to remove Celestia. I didn't want this and I stopped upgrade because I didn't know what application would be next. Do anyone have same experience?

Remove mesa:
pacman -Rd mesa
After, do pacman -Syu again.

I don't have mesa installed.
pacman -Rd mesa and I get:
error: could not find mesa in database

Maybe you're trying to install another package that depends on mesa. Say yes when pacman ask you about removing celestia. Once the update is done, you can reinstall celestia (remove mesa if it has been installed).

Having conflicts on mesa is plain stupid: OpenGL is unusable without it. Even when using nvidia drivers with Xorg from testing you need mesa.

Sure? I had to remove mesa to install nvidia ... shrug
I had to do
pacman -S xorg-server
pacman -Rd mesa
pacman Sf nvidia
Otherwise I had comlains of nvidia, that wanted to overwrite an opengl library that was mesa owned, afaik.

Otherwise I had comlains ....
Oh, I often have comlains, too. Yesterday evening, I had a very large comlain. Imagine it's hair was all wet, it had no feet, and long arms.
Btw.: Bad english will be the language of the future.

How fluent is your German?

Okay, today I tried to install Xorg 7.0. First as I wrote before I need to remove Celestia and Stellarium - conflicts with mesa. On the end I get a message that an error occurred. In /var/log/pacman.log there are no errors.
Next time...
