Customizable random music playback

Hi!
There is one feature which I missed in my favorite music player Audacious and I also believe that it is missing from all or almost all other music players. The feature is: user-specified items - audio files, directories, metadata (cue) files – to be picked randomly for playing. Currently Audacious only supports picking separate tracks since the playlist is nonhierarchical.

I missed this feature so much that I have developed a full-blown GUI wrapper around Audacious – Venturous. Audacious user interface and configuration are accessible too since Venturous only controls it via powerful command-line interface. Now I wonder if I am the only one who needs such a feature and am going to be the sole user of my wrapper, or is there someone else with similar demands? smile

Venturous is licensed under GPLv3+ and available in AUR. Support for another external player (instead of Audacious) can be implemented quite easily, provided that player in question has powerful enough command-line interface.
