Can You Force Rox To Update Icons on Desktop?

I am using XFCE4 + Rox as the desktop. On that desktop I keep a number of icons for devices attached to the computer, like my Zip disk, my CF Reader, etc. For some of these devices, Rox's stock mount option won't work, as a more detailed command is needed to successfully mount the device. For those devices, I have built scripts to do the work, and attached them to an XFCE4 menu item.

The problem is, when I mount a device this way, its Rox Desktop icon does not update to show it as mounted. If I pass the mouse over the icon, it does then update and show it as mounted. Is there some way to automate this process? Is there some way to force Rox to refresh the desktop, some command that I can add to a script so that after I mount one of these devices, I can simply force Rox to refresh the icon? For example, when I was using KDE, I used to be able to simply "touch" a file in the ~/Desktop directory, and KDE would refresh its desktop. Is there something like that which I could do for Rox?

Thanks!
