[SOLVED] Civ 5: error while loading shared libraries: libMiles.so

When I attempt to start Civ 5 from steam I get "game is running" with no error and no game. Turning to the command line, I try to manually start it and get:

~/.local/share/Steam/SteamApps/common/Sid Meier's Civilization V/Civ5XP: error while loading shared libraries: libMiles.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

A quick locate on libmiles gives:

~/.local/share/Steam/ubuntu12_32/libmiles.so

I'm not using native libraries. So...where is steam looking for libMiles?

Actually as I was typing this I wondered if the solution was as stupid as libMiles vs libmiles...and after a simple ln -s libmiles.so libMiles.so in that directory, the game did load. Weird.
