Trying to work out why gnome-keyring requires gtk3. So far my search for an answer has failed. Wondering how kde users manage keyring?

gnome-keyring-daemon doesn't require gtk3, but it relies on glib2.
The executable gnome-keyring(-3) needs gtk3, but without any apparent reason. You might want to try and remove gtk_init and recompile it without gtk and only glib2.
Now the only thing you need is an qt gui, since seahorse requires gtk3, too.

Think I will pass on seahorse, but need to rebuild gnome-keyring. Only I am torn as it does not feel right. How do kde users manage. Going to try see what happens.
Thanks

I don't use KDE anymore, but it was always kwallet.

Tried kwallet but it did not work. Without gnome-keyring I cannot poweroff as user. Can of course add sudo or edit sudoers file. Going to check wiki later for loginctl....
