Hello,
since the kernel was updated to 3.15, I have a problem of a crashing gnome-shell after wakeup from suspend.
First the "Something went wrong" message appears, and after a gdm restart, I can't login and gnome-shell crashes again.
Does anybody can confirm this behaviour or even has the solution? :-)
best regards

Yeah it just wont resume from suspend at all for me. Reverting back to 3.14 and it works fine. This is on a desktop PC with Gnome 3.12.

Thanks zzaw, downgrading back to 3.14.6 solved the issue, running on a Lenovo T400 using xf86-video-intel-2.99.912-1 drivers.

Here, it is a Lenovo T400, running on the same intel-driver, too.
In journalctl, I found following lines:
Jun 25 15:52:31 gnome-session[2007]: intel_do_flush_locked failed: Das Argument ist ungültig
...
Jun 25 15:52:31 gnome-session[2007]: WARNING: App 'gnome-shell.desktop' exited with code 1

Jun 25 15:52:31 gnome-session[2007]: gnome-session[2007]: WARNING: App 'gnome-shell.desktop' respawning too quickly
Jun 25 15:52:31 gnome-session[2007]: Unrecoverable failure in required component gnome-shell.desktop
With help of the search in the forum, I came to this link: https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/In … ion_method
Please try to use the acceleration method "uxa". With this old option, the first few wake-ups did work!

Same here: Thinkpad T400 6475. For me downgrade to linux-3.14.4-1 worked, with 3.14.5-1 and 3.15.1 I get crashes of the Gnome-Shell after wakeup from suspend.
However, after changing to "AccelMethod uxa" no proper wakeup from suspend (black screen with flickering).

I am experiencing this as well. Probably related to this thread: https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=183023
It is probably related to Intel drivers. Not sure if upstream is aware of the issue.

I have the similar problem.
I'm a KDE user and kwin (KDE window manager) just crash after resume from RAM. Also got "intel_do_flush_locked failed: Invalid argument" when trying to restart kwin.
Hardware: Thinkpad X200 with Intel driver.

Same here with intel i915 GPU on a Lenovo Edge 13.
I did a bug-report: https://bugs.archlinux.org/task/41083
Offline
The bug which is said to be realted to this behaviour is "fixed":
https://bugs.archlinux.org/task/41045
In my case the problem still exists with the new intel-dri package and kernel 3.15
Please post your experience.

The upgrade to linux-3.15.4-1 and intel-dri-10.2.3-1 did not help me neither. Gnome-Shell crash after first wakeup from suspend (Thinkpad T400).

Same behaviour here! Not solved! Running linux-3.14.6 again...

Yesterday, the packages xorg-xdriinfo 1.0.4-4 and xorg-xkbcomp 1.2.4-2 have been installed during a system upgrade.
Now I can suspend and resume with kernel 3.15. Sometime gdm hangs a little bit, but in general, it's working

not working for me (Thinkpad T400, Intel GMA 4500MHD) -> back to 3.14.6

For me (Intel GM45 chipset) kernel 3.15.5-1 finally solved this issue.

For all, who still have this issue
--> install linux-lts. It was just upgraded to 3.14, so you do not have to ignore the packages in pacman.conf before a pacman -Syu

works for me now as well with the latest update

After upgrade to:
Linux karipad.local 3.15.5-1-ARCH #1 SMP PREEMPT Thu Jul 10 07:08:50 CEST 2014 x86_64 GNU/Linux
it still doesn't work sometimes. In general I think it works better but I still have issues with intel_do_flush_locked: invalid argument (especially when start glxdemo + glxgears + chromium with some flash animation + VLC).

I captured this a few minutes ago:

lip 11 19:05:50 karipad.local chromium.desktop[1266]: intel_do_flush_locked failed: Invalid argument
After relogging on GDM level it fails, so the only one thing is to reboot the kernel:

@kitarek, i can confirm this behaviour.
I have installed some extensions. If I activate weather and/or DropDownTerminal, after a few suspends and wake ups, I get this error again. I can not figure it out, how to reproduce the error exactly. Having them disabled prevents gdm from failing.

I see a similar behaviour when resuming from suspend after removing the laptop from the docking station. But occurrence is random and not really reproducible.

It is propably fixed now with the latest xf86-video-intel driver (version 2.99.912-2).
For me it works, with enabled / disabled gnome extensions and (un-) plugging the power supply during suspend randomly.
Does anyone can confirm the bugfix?

I have a similar problem: https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=183585. It doesn't look fixed yet.

No more problems here for some day.

Unfortunately it's getting worse for me again. Sometimes I even get random crashes of the gnome-shell after locking the desktop.
