I've been an ATI man for a lot of years, but have finally switchedd to an Nvidia GTX 670.
Currently running with nvidia-304xxx. However, I'm not sure on the numbering system with nv cards. Would I be better with teh latest drivers?

Use the latest driver that supports your card well. Please see the wiki: https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Nvidia, especially points 2 and 3 under Installation. I also use 304, but YMMV.

Give them a try and see :-)
You should be using the latest drivers, as the wiki tells you. Why do you think you should be using the 304 ones?

Thank you. As I said, my confusion was over NVidia's numbering system (I know ATI numbering, but haven't really had to know NV for a long time).
I've now installed the latest drivers and everything seems to be fine.
