[SOLVED] enhanceio - file system corruption? solution: do not use it

Got some major corruption on ext4 file system, when it was cached using enhanceio-git

I'm not saying it's due to this package, but that's my main suspect at this time.

Can someone comment on how stable the code is?

Did you follow the wiki? Have you read this warning? https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/En … n_initcpio

Re: [SOLVED] enhanceio - file system corruption? solution: do not use it

I wasn't running it on rootfs, so this does not apply.

However there has been a layer of LUKS on top of the cache. I wonder if that could have been the cause. I have been running flashcache in similar setup and it has been nothing but joy so far.

I will run the computer without cache to eliminate EIO as a factor, and report findings

Apparently, the file system corruption is a known issue with enhanceio: https://github.com/stec-inc/EnhanceIO/issues/30 . It is quite a shame, I could have used a little heads up before using it.
