Hello there dear Arch forumers! ![]()
I purchased recently a new DVD of a concert to play with my laptop. I use a lot VLC and I have other DVDs ripped in my hard drive (the VIDEO_TS folder). When I open up VLC and I try to play the disc, the unit starts to read for a little while then stops and...stops. It doesn't go any further. Whereas if I try to play a VIDEO_TS folder from my internal storage, it plays ok. The path of my drive is /dev/sr0, I also tried to manually browse to the DVD content, drag the complete folder and drop it into VLC and nothing happens...
I ran VLC in a terminal and I got this output. I don't know how to interpret it.
libdvdnav: Using dvdnav version 4.2.1

Yes!. I have three more DVDs. Two of them are from artist of my own country and the third one is European standard. All of them play fine with VLC...The DVD I just purchased is from the US.
