volumectl - control volume from the command line with onscreen display

volumectl - A small utility used to control the volume from the command line with a nice onscreen display

volumectl uses notify-osd to display a nice notification bubble:

Installation

volumectl is available in the AUR

Usage

• Increase volume:

  volumectl up

• Decrease volume:

  volumectl down

• Toggle mute:

  volumectl toggle

This utility was heavily inspired by Fancy New Onscreen Volume Display for Openbox, et al created by abarilla.
This is a Go rewrite of that bash script and provides pretty much the same functionality.
