Enlightenment - switch to an existing instance of application

Hi All

I've just switched from Gnome to E18 and I have to say I'm really impressed, it's much faster than Gnome and, after I found the Run Everything key combination (ALT + ESC) launching applications is a breeze. I've managed to get most things working exactly as I want them but one thing has me stuck.

The Shelf (I think I'm right in calling it that) at the bottom is set as it was when installed. There's a launcher section in the middle with icons for Thunderbird, Firefox and so on - very handy for quick launch of things I regularly use. On the right are all the running applications. The issue here is that if, for example, I launch Firefox and then, instead of clicking on the current instance of Firefox over at the right hand side, I click the Firefox launcher button, I get a second instance of Firefox.

Ideally what I would like is be able to click on Firefox in the launcher, and if an instance already exists then switch to this one. If an instance doesn't exist then launch a new one. Cairo Dock does this perfectly, and you just shift-click Firefox if you want a second instance. I've looked in the settings but there isn't anything obvious that jumps out at me. Can anybody help with this one?

Thanks
Richard

Re: Enlightenment - switch to an existing instance of application

Just use an "ibar" in your shelf for the launchers and on the settings, make sure that "track launch" is enabled.
In order to switch to a running instance of an application, just middle click the icon and select the instance you want to switch to.

Cheers.
