nouveau crashes when xbmc uses vdpau

Dear Forum.

I cant find any forum threads for that issue, so i asume i am the only one who is doing something wrong here.
For my xbmc installation on arch i tried to use vdpau on the nouveau opensource driver. It crashes right on video start with following dmesg.

my video card

whats wrong here? what i am missing?
Maybe someone stombeled in the same faulty corner and is willing to help.
