How to install Xorg 7?

Help, I really can't find out... Just doing pacman -S xorg as normal (with testing repo enabled of course), or ??
Will it automaticlly install all modules needed to use evdev and radeon driver (until I install fglrx)?

pacman -S xorg-server xf86-input-evdev xf86-video-ati

ought to grab the base stuff you need.

Re: How to install Xorg 7?

Thanks!
But it seems not to like my IDE controller (ASUS A7V600 / VIA something chipset), so it can't be installed. Tried everything. Very sad because Arch is the only Linux distro I like. :x

Re: How to install Xorg 7?

I recommend checking out my howto on this to avoid problems with the new way evdev works. Hope it helps. Cheers.

Re: How to install Xorg 7?

Sorry, very stressed atm. :x

It is saying something with /dev/hda: max request size 128kib and I should try to put irqpoll to the boot commandline (not working). acpi=off isn't working either. roll
I can boot into the installer, but in cfdisk the /dev/hda drive is REALLY slow, and even when I try to install Grub on /dev/sda, it justs keeps locking up and getting errors repeatedly.
